RGB Spectrum Expands Linx Switcher Line with HDCP Compliant Fiber Optic Option

June 9, 2010, Alameda, CA - RGB Spectrum, the world leader in videographic processing technology for control rooms, conference rooms, operating rooms and defense, today announced that it has expanded the capabilities of the new Linx Prime switcher, also announced today, by introducing a new HDCP compliant set of direct fiber optic input and output cards. These new optional cards install in the Linx Prime frames which are available in three sizes. Each HDCP compliant modular card features two independent channels using multimode fiber. In addition to the high resolution video, a supplemental bi-directional data channel supports HDCP and EDID. These cards simplify installation when used with RGB Spectrum's FiberDVI stand alone converters. High definition video content can be sent over up to 500 meters of fiber in each direction, with or without HDCP.

The Linx Prime Switcher can be ordered with fiber input or output cards in any mix with DVI, CrossXFormat and 3G/HD-SDI input cards and DVI and scaled DVI output cards, for unprecedented flexibility and customization. With this new product, the customer gets exactly the configuration that meets their unique system requirements driven by the variety of sources and displays that they use in their installation, including a wide variety of choices of media distribution platforms supported by Linx Prime.
