New CAT-Linx 2 HDBaseT Extenders for 4K UHD
RGB Spectrum has taken its CAT-Linx™ HDBaseT extenders to the next level with the introduction of new CAT-Linx 2 TX and RX models. These distribute uncompressed 4K / UHD @60Hz video, audio, power, RS232, and two-way IR up to 100m/330ft over a single Cat 6 cable.
Powerful and versatile, CAT-Linx 2 products transmit HD signals between endpoints using the widely adopted HDBaseT protocol. CAT-Linx 2 TX and RX endpoints are compatible with all RGB Spectrum display processors and multiviewers.
Simple to use and easy to install, CAT Linx 2 is ideal for control rooms, conference rooms, digital signage, and school and corporate training environments. Compact design allows it to be mounted on the back of any display. For larger installations, an optional 6RU mounting rack can hold 12 extenders.
CAT-Linx 2’s ability to extend bi-directional serial and IR control of display devices adds functionality and flexibility.
The integrated Power-over-HDBaseT (PoH) capability powers endpoints over Cat 6 cable. This enables a CAT-Linx 2 transmitter and receiver pair to run on a single power supply, eliminating the need for external power connections.
Building on the capabilities of the CAT-Linx extenders, the new models offer increased functionality and an extremely affordable price.
