RGB Spectrum and projectiondesign Demonstrate Video Wall Display Technologies at InfoComm 2012
RGB Spectrum and Norwegian high-performance projector manufacturer projectiondesign demonstrated their respective innovative technologies for the control room projection market at InfoComm 2012 in Las Vegas, NV. On the RGB Spectrum booth RGB's MediaWall 2900 video wall processor was integrated with two dual-link projectiondesign F35 wqxga projectors and WB2560 Multi Image Processors. A similar set up was displayed on the projectiondesign booth, but using FL35 wqxga LED DLP® projectors.
"The InfoComm displays proved that RGB and projectiondesign are perfect complements to each other," said Bob Marcus, CEO of RGB Spectrum. "Both companies share a history of award winning imaging technologies that coalesce to realize our customers' visions."
On the RGB booth, the MediaWall 2900 supplied two uncompressed 2560x1600 dual-link outputs to the projectiondesign F35 wqxga projectors and WB2560 Multi Image Processors. Critical to the seamless blend of projected images, the MediaWall added a 512 pixel overlap to each dual-link output so that the final display had a resolution of 4600x1600 pixels.
Jorn Erikson, CEO at projectiondesign enthuses: "Critical to our annual trade show activity is to partner with complimentary and cutting-edge technology manufacturers to demonstrate and communicate to customers how our technology is used in real-world applications. This enables them to make faster decisions and technology choices for upcoming projects.
"In the case of our exhibition trade-show activity with RGB Spectrum at InfoComm 2012, the integrated large-screen video wall on their booth reflected the benefits of high-resolution, broad bandwidth, flawless image quality, accurate imaging and 24/7 operation for use in simulation and training, collaboration suites, control rooms and monitoring. InfoComm 2012 was a continuation of the success we enjoyed with RGB Spectrum at InfoComm Asia ISE and I/ITSEC throughout 2011 and 2012. What's even more exciting, there are many more future trade shows in the pipeline."
RGB's renowned MediaWall 2900 multi-screen processor offers the robustness and processing speed of an embedded architecture along with flexibility to display images anywhere, any size. Up to eight graphic or HD video sources can be displayed within one or across multiple screens, in correct aspect ratio or stretched to fit, in whole or zoomed to emphasize details. For edge blend requirements, the MediaWall 2900 provides adjustable x and y axis overlap controls.
