HDMI®/DVI, HD Video Matrix Switchers
RGB Spectrum's modular Linx™ Matrix Switchers accommodate any mix of copper, fiber or twisted pair connections to provide connectivity solutions for applications requiring signal distribution within rooms, and across buildings and campuses.
Incorporating RGB Spectrum’s proprietary CrossXFormat® functionality, our multi format digital matrix switchers accept any combination of DVI, RGB and/or component signals. Inputs are processed and output as DVI/HDMI®signals, which can be single-link, dual-link, fiber, scaled, HDMI®or HDBaseT, depending on the I/O cards installed.
RGB Spectrum’s Total EDID Manager™ is an integrated software solution that simplifies EDID management and control. It enables Linx matrix switchers to optimize output quality, even when an input signal is routed to multiple display devices with different resolutions.
HDCP-compliant Linx matrix switchers accommodate content-protected HDMI®signals, including embedded audio pass-through, on all DVI channels. HDCP-encoded signals can be routed to all displays simultaneously, regardless of source device key limitations. The digital matrix switcher also has the unique ability to turn off the HDCP feature for non-protected content.
There are a variety of control options for our digital DVI matrix switchers: the Web Control Panel, an intuitive GUI that can be accessed through a web browser; command line interface; front panel controls (for preset recall); a BP-16 button panel; iPhones; iPads; and third-party control systems.
Linx matrix switchers provide users with an unprecedented degree of flexibility. Building on RGB Spectrum's long tradition of quality and reliability, our digital DVI matrix switchers are ideal for 24/7 operation in applications that require the routing of multiple inputs with uncompromising speed and quality.
I/O Cards and Endpoints
The Linx matrix switcher system includes modular input and output (I/O) cards designed to accommodate a broad range of signal types over a variety of transmission media. The following I/O cards are available:

DVI with Scaling Output Cards provide real-time routing of sources to displays, regardless of input signal type or timing, eliminating the lag-time and “black screens” characteristic of other DVI matrix switchers. Scaler output cards offer pan and zoom functionality and allow users to save and recall up to 100 preset scaling and routing configurations.
HDMI+® Audio Output Cards offer HDMI® connectors and a terminal block for de-embedded balanced or unbalanced analog stereo audio. De-embedded audio signals can be routed to an external audio processor or amplifier for broadcast, monitoring or recording.
CAT-Linx I/O cards use Power over HDBaseT (PoH) technology to provide 48 VDC of power directly to endpoints, eliminating the need for external power supplies. CAT-Linx cards are fully compliant with HDBaseT standards and enable the transmission of HDMI® (with embedded audio) and serial data between the Linx matrix switcher and compatible endpoints.
CAT-Linx devices also provide a cost-effective way to achieve RS-232 control by enabling the transmission of serial control signals with video and power over a single CAT‐6 cable. Using a touch-screen control system, users can send serial commands to a variety of display devices over cable lengths of up to 100 meters (328 ft).
