The Galileo plug-in provides seamless integration between cameras managed by Genetec or Milestone and other sources managed by Galileo, consolidating functionality from independent VMS and Galileo operator stations into a consolidated, easy-to-manage view.
RGB Spectrum’s Galileo video wall processor helps overcome the limitations inherent in decoding multiple IP cameras. Typically, the more cameras you decode with a single client, the more the frame rate and/or resolution is reduced. Galileo VMS integration allows the display of multiple VMS clients on the video wall, expanding the number of IP camera decoders while maintaining high resolution and frame rate.
Galileo handles IP cameras integrated with the VMS Plug-in, external IP cameras, set-top box, access, alarm control, and more.
The VMS Plug-in enables drag-and-drop selection of sources on the Galileo or from Genetec and Milestone IP cameras. Users can filter sources by type and/or name, move and resize windows, and save various layouts for later recall.
Compatible with Genetec Security Center v5.5 or later, the Galileo Client graphic user interface makes Genetec cameras available as individual sources. Compatible with Milestone XProtect 2018 R2 or later, Milestone XProtect cameras can be added manually as IP sources.
Operators familiar with the XProtect interface can control the video wall with the standard Milestone interface. If granted permission by the administrator, the operator can also recall layouts, move and resize windows, and drag-and-drop any Milestone or other source into a window on the video wall. For more advanced control, the Galileo client allows any connected XProtect client computer to be controlled remotely by a local keyboard and mouse. In this way, a single operator can control the entire XProtect and Galileo system.
The Galileo video wall processor is an ideal solution for security control rooms, emergency operations centers, monitoring systems, command centers and other security and surveillance applications.
